Qualities
Technomancer (+5)
Charles Moore is a virtuakineticist. He first emerged in London in 2062, two years before the second crash. He was subjected to some initial screening, but escaped before being fully quarantined.
Thrillseeker (-5)
Charles Moore has a type-T personality, given to seeking out dangerous or exciting situations. This behavior also extends into the Matrix.

Erased (+10)
All records pertaining to Charles Moore mysteriously disappear from computer systems regularly. Whether or not this Matrix-wide phenomena is due to him being a virtuakineticist, or through some outside agency is unknown.
Sensitive System (-15)
Charles Moore's body naturally rejects cybernetic implants, and other invasive surgeries. Bioware and genetic modification may not affect him, but Charles has not sought any body modifications to date.

Prejudiced (-10)
Charles Moore has a low opinion of hackers. He is often arrogant or denigrating to those who exploit systems through conventional software, as opposed to virtuakineticism.
 Analytical Mind (+5)
Charles Moore enjoys solving puzzles, be they crosswords, anagrams, mathematical puzzles, or logic diagrams.
Paragon (+5)
Charles Moore is a follower of the Black Hat, a paragon of the Resonance. His Matrix alter ego, Sphere, thrives on the breaking into places he is not authorized to be in.

Qualities:
Crash Pad (squatters), Defective CHN, Poor Condition
Barely liveable, due to the leaking ceiling, and defective CHN (that likes to turn the lights on at random hours of the day), this place only just qualifies as a place to live. But Charles got it via a friend of an acquaintance on very short notice, and it's better than being in the street. The local squatters seem to agree, as he's constantly having to kick them out. Fortunately, most squatters won't mess with a troll.
 Personality:
Charles Moore has a classic T-type personality (commonly known as a thrillseeker), likely stemming from his cloistered and isolated upbringing. He is constantly seeking out adventure or challenges, often dangerous, as a means of escapism from his relatively non-social existence. He is also a notorious prankster, hacker, and by turns vandal, possibly stemming from his lack of general acceptance in society, as a means to call attention to himself and prove himself better than others that have, for his life so far, not accepted him. He is an inveterate loner: while personable and erudite (especially for an ingentis), Charles Moore has trouble developing close social ties. He is often absorbed with the "now", failing to understand long-term ramifications, or to develop extended contingency planning. He is extremely capable at solving logic problems, from simple cyphers to advanced crossword, word puzzles, and math-based puzzles.
Charles Moore often comes across as confident or cocky, brash, and impetuous. He often plays down his keen intelligence, utilizing the stereotype of trolls to his advantage to lure people into thinking he doesn't understand something, to his advantage. Those that do get to know him find that Charles is actually a kind, friendly, and well-meaning individual behind the facade of a reckless, thuggish vandal, and an eternal optimist filled with child-like wonder at the world, and a font of hope, who just wants to be accepted for who he is, and valued.
Charles Moore is a virtuakineticist. He plays down his abilities, preferring others to not know what he is capable of. His abilities, to himself, however, are a source of never-ending wonder and personal enlightenment. He styles himself an "Echonaut", playing the streams of the resonance in search of grand adventure. He looks down upon conventional hackers as being inferior. This prejudice causes him to effect disdain towards their abilities and accomplishments.
Charles Moore is an avid fan of many sports, especially North American Combat Biking. He is currently a fan of the Tacoma Timberwolves.
Background:
Charles Moore was born October 21st, 2046. His upbringing was fairly uneventful: middle class family living in the London suburbs, good schooling, no siblings. Charles was, by all accounts, an average child, though gifted intellectually. That would all change, however, when he underwent The Change, as he calls it, during the summer of 2059.
His expression as an ingenti v. fomori shocked his staid and conservative parents. They struggled for a while with his new, larger form. Eventually, though, they sent him off to a boarding school in the country that purportedly specialized in ork and troll children. The school promised to "civilize the most brutish of children" in one of its adverts. It was not a pleasant time for Charles; while there, he was singled out for his distinctive natural eyes by his peers. The mostly elven and human staff commonly mistreated the children, subjecting them to harsh punishments for minor infractions, and the children handed down their repression by picking on those they perceived as different still from themselves.          Charles did not stand idly by, however. He was still a bright, intelligent teenager, and developed a streak of planning elaborates pranks to exact some form of revenge on his tormentors. Eventually he managed to distance himself from the worst of the bullying, but he was still isolated from his peers.
Charles's parents communicated with him during his first year at the school; frequently at first, but less so as time went on. Even those he received at the end of his first year were perfunctory form letters, it seemed, and Charles discontinued contact with them. He would never hear from them again.
In his second year at the boarding school (2062), Charles found several devices acting strangely around him: a security camera began spinning uncontrollably, while an access pad emitted a shower of sparks. He became doubled over with a splitting headache, and was sent to the infirmary. Charles spent the next six months undergoing care for what the doctors at first believed to be a physiological and psychological reaction to the wireless signals. He underwent test after test, and was often kept heavily sedated.
In this drug-induced dreamy existence, Charles found himself more and more drawn to what he saw as an alternate world inhabited by computers, data, and other entities. Charles had never been particularly computer savvy; he had played several Matrix games, but found them somewhat lacking intellectually. Now, though, he found a world where code was a logical puzzle to be manipulated, perhaps even to solve. He delved deeply into the Resonance, and he found something, if not someone. While his body was wracked by coma-inducing drugs, and doctors prodded his troll body, his mind was meeting his mentor, his paragon, the ineffable Black Hat. His paragon opened his mind to the Resonance, in what was a wholly numinous experience for Charles.
Returning to his senses, between bouts of a drug-induced stupor, Charles put his new found abilities towards finding freedom. He was still young, all of 17, when he escaped. He would spend the next several years on the run. A curious thing happened, though: all records of his existence vanished. Charles is unable to explain it, but he attributes it to his paragon. As far as authorities are concerned, Charles is a non-entity. He would spend the next seven years on the street, honing his skills and learning the extent of his abilities. He would even spend some time on the mainland, a wonderful few years in France experiencing the culture.
Current Activities:
Charles has left London for newer pastures. What ties he had were either lost, or otherwise severed thanks to the exigencies (and high mortality) of those like him. He has arrived in Seattle with but a few cred, but ample skills. His only contacts are a private VPN consisting of fellow ork and troll 'mancers.
Stream: Echonauts
The Echonauts (some call them Resonauts) believe the Resonance is a great, undiscovered realm of logic and mental energy, digitalized. They revel in the mysteries and challenges that lie within, seeking to explore it through sheer determination, dedication, and esprit de adventure! Echonauts feel they are the next generation of great explorers, emboldened to travel to a new frontier. They strive to learn about the Resonance and all of its many facets, to plumb its depths, experience the many wild phenomena within, and in doing so perhaps learn a thing or two about themselves.
