Canyon's done runs for Mr. Grimm all over North America now. Smuggling, in-and-outs, convoys, you name it.

Loyalty 4, Connections 4
They met when Canyon was serving as her escort on a dangerous exposѐ covering the smugglers of the CAS. Since then, they've had a torrid, on-again, off-again affair. It usually starts when they run into each other, and ends when Canyon starts shooting off his mouth about his latest evidence of the Reptilian Cover-Up. In between, they exchange gossip, biz, and rumors.

Canyon lives out of his van. What little money he spends tends to go towards fast food and cheap entertainment. It ain't comfortable, but Canyon's not sure where he wants to settle down, yet.
Personality:
Down-to-earth, fun loving, overly optimistic. That's how George Beaumont, aka "Canyon", comes across. But deep down, he's a poor sod caught up in his own fantasies about how the world works in an effort to deny the bad things he's seen. Unable to face the truth, he's caught himself up in a fictional realm where a sinister force threatens metahumanity, and he alone's managed to defeat this threat time and time again with over-the-top stunts and narrow escapes.
Canyon, as he prefers to be called, believes a race of reptilian alien creatures has infiltrated society in an attempt to enslave it. He often delineates his theories and demonstrates his proof to anybody who'll listen. Even some that won't. His delusions stem in part from his own deathly fear of snakes, and his desire to see the ills of society be caused by something other than man's own doing. His optimism for society extends to explaining away the evils that plague it as the effects of some outside agency.
Canyon also has a conflicted, dualistic morality: those that are worse off than he, he feels deserve help and aid, while those better off than he get what's coming if they are swindled, conned, or otherwise parted from their material successes. He often explains away those that have died through his actions as having been agents of the Snake Lords, no matter evidence to the contrary.
Background:
George Washington Beaumont was born the fifth child of a very poor family, in Atlanta, Georgia. His parents had little time for him, and he was mostly left to his own devices. When he was nine, he was put to work helping the family out, mostly by begging, stealing, and petty jobs. On a lark, when he was his two eldest brothers gave him a dose of deepweed, and locked him in the cellar. George had a bad reaction to the drug, and hallucinated about snakes and vermin attacking him, and stealing his soul. The experience scarred him for life, and to this day he is deeply afraid of snakes and most reptiles.
When he was 16, George managed to get a job with Coca-Cola, in one of their packaging plants. He worked hard, and moved up from an inventory clerk to the short list for one of the coveted delivery riggers. At 21, management decided he was ready, and George signed up for the elective surgeries necessary to be a company driver. George was a capable, and likeable, employee, and quickly moved up the ranks. From local, interdepartmental deliveries, to regional, to state and nation-wide by the time he was 24. It was 2062.
2062 started off bad, and only got worse. In the first month, George - now known as Canyon due to his famed Grand Canyon rescue run - had his van fall on top of his arm, when the lift collapsed during regularly scheduled maintenance. As a star employee, he was given great treatment, but he still lost the arm. To make up for it, he sunk his savings into making it the best arm he could; the strength enhancements alone almost made the hydraulic lift unnecessary. Still, Canyon ended up spending over a month in traction and rehabilitation.
Then, the Crash 2.0 hit. Many of his rigger buddies in the motor pool died, as their vehicles went out of control or fell out of the sky. Canyon was running ops that day, and got to listen in to their screams for help. He couldn't take it, and Canyon retreated into a self-denying haze of fantasy delusions. He had always had a predilection for fantasy genres; now the line between real and fiction blurred for him as he could not handle the crisises.
Once things had cleared up a bit, and it looked like he could get back to work, Canyon reported for duty. But he already knew it would be his last. Despite his missing records, he was allowed back on his route, mostly because they were dreadfully short of manpower. Canyon believed the company he worked for had been in on the Crash, and had used it as an excuse to "cull the herd" of those who'd gotten too close. He felt it was only time before he was next. So he did the only thing he felt he could: he stole his vehicle. A mechanic buddy helped him drop it from the grid, and he left the state. Given the chaos of the post-Crash, it wasn't hard to do. From there, he made his way west, through Phoenix and north to LA and Seattle. He did odd jobs, from smuggling to escorts, always on the watch for signs of the next culling, and seeking answers to questions no one else was asking.
Current Activities:
Canyon's at a particularly low point in his life. He's homeless, living out of his van, and in need of some high-paying or long term gig. New to the area, he only has a few contacts he can rely on. He's an ace driver and drone technician, for everything from covert ops to fire support.
